No, those guys envy me.

Come on, is there anyone here who is not after the flame? or are people so scared for their farming operations? (or ebay gold?) can't anyone really read what I wrote and relate to that, instead of just picking on the things to flame about? I'm disapointed. I could have said it in LA-D1 local chat and get better responses.

Going back to your op, if they did somehow destroy the 55 build to stop botters and ebay sellers; I'm sure they'd soon find a new build to use anyway. No offense, but I doubt anyone envies you

You know what sucks, I was playing when that happened, but never bought a single ecto, I missed the opportunity. NO I was talking about when GW first came out on the market, and I had not the faintest idea what an ecto was, let alone what ectos would become.

Since any class can farm just about anywhere once you figure out the how to's of it (I have one of each class, and each can farm specfic areas... some better than others). Killing off the 55 class, would really do little to hurt anyone in terms of stopping farming. To be honest, there are several other monk builds far better to farm with than the typical 55, and those builds are weak to degen. My ranger can farm (non-trap build) twice as fast as my 55 monk can; my mesmer faster yet; and my ritualist can clear huge areas of foes faster still with no worry on degen, enchant strips or interupts.
It's really just knowing what foes do what and build to the foes weakness.

If it's just farming we want to stop, then the economy needs to be redone completely so that non-farmer Bob can afford what he wants rather than just what someone else says is "all he needs".

BTW; farming is about the most boring thing to do in GW. If the quests and missions paid out even close to what I can make in a 10 minute farm run; I would never bother with farming again. In 10 minutes I can make near 3k (most of the time). If I spend 20 minutes getting a group together, then (using a Challenge Mission as example) 10 minutes or more playing through it, I should have as a reward 9k or more. Instead, I am lucky to see around 1k on a really good set. Why is it I would bother with the missions and quests then?

I think the solution I see in these posts comes from simply upping the rewards to match what the farmer can earn in the same time; or, as I said, rework the entire economy... not bother with more class changes. Players are crafty, anything Anet does will either be adapted to, or just tick off some players and they lose customers.

The build has been around for over a year, A.net has known about it. I doubt they would nerf it at this random moment in time, and even if they did, massive farming would continue.

I can't be bothered to read this, so I will just point one thing out and then make a suggestion.

Point: The 55's have already been nerfed. Twice, even.

Suggestion: Dear OP, make a 55 and try it out. It'll give you a much better appreciation of what the build can and can not do.

I believe WoW has a saying that pretty much sums up my position - "Cry more plz"

The argument was more about people selling ingame gold for Rl cash and that there are so many 55's botting simple runs and making so much ingame gold from it, making ingame gold worth less.

Nerfing the 55 would probably stop some of the farmers, but the fact is theres alot of other brainless runs with no variables, nothing that changes per spawn, like all the bots running elona mino's. People can write scripts because the runs are so simple to do.

/Signed or unsigned it makes little difference to me personally.

Anet could have done this without nerfing any skills, they just have to limit the negative health stack, the same way two or more runes will not add up + health. They didn't do it then, I am 99.99% sure they won't do it now.

This is so f**king closed. Don't bring this up again. We've already had many hateful discussions on this very topic. Every single time the response is that bots will just use another build (incidentally, I've seen an E/Me take out minnos faster than anything, and I've seen it's even possible to take them with a Me/N. They're just so sodding easy it's ludicris).

Now if you have a new suggestion, feel free. But stop this. I'm aware this thread wasn't originally in the Sardelac forum, but I can't let it go on here. We close redundent threads. My apologies.
